Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon and Deng Haohui have secured their places on the World Snooker Tour after successfully qualifying through 2026 Asia-Oceania Q School Event 1, earning two-year Main Tour cards for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons.

Thailand’s Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon booked his return to the professional ranks with an impressive victory over Bai Langning in his final qualifying match.

Joining him on the Main Tour is China’s Deng Haohui, who produced a strong performance to overcome Amir Sarkosh and secure his professional status for the next two seasons.

Qualification through Q School represents one of the toughest routes into professional snooker, with players battling through multiple knockout rounds for a limited number of coveted tour cards.

Both players can now look ahead to competing on snooker’s biggest stage as members of the professional circuit.

Following Asia-Oceania Q School Event 1, attention will now turn to Asia-Oceania Q School Event 2, which commences on Wednesday 20th May, where a further two two-year Main Tour cards will be on offer.

With more talented players still in contention, Event 2 promises another fiercely competitive battle as the remaining hopefuls look to join Thanawat and Deng on the professional tour.
