The final line up for the 2026/27 World Snooker Tour has been confirmed following the conclusion of Q School in Leicester, with eight players successfully earning two-year professional Main Tour cards.
Widely regarded as one of the most demanding routes into the professional game, Q School provides aspiring professionals and former tour players with the opportunity to secure their place amongst snooker’s elite. Across two fiercely contested events, hundreds of hopefuls battled through multiple rounds knowing that only a select few would achieve their goal.
From Event One, Liam Davies, Phil O’Kane, Sean O’Sullivan, and Cheung Ka Wai emerged victorious to secure their return or debut on the professional circuit. Each player demonstrated impressive composure and consistency throughout the week, overcoming a series of high pressure matches to earn their place on the World Snooker Tour.
Davies continues his upward trajectory within the game and will be looking to build on the momentum generated by a successful qualification campaign. O’Kane, O’Sullivan, and Cheung also produced strong performances when it mattered most, navigating the challenging Q School format to secure professional status for the next two seasons.
Event Two saw another four players claim the remaining tour cards on offer. Andrew Higginson, Mitchell Mann, Stuart Carrington, and Gong Chenzhi all came through their final qualifying matches to complete the line-up of successful qualifiers.
For Higginson, Mann, and Carrington, qualification represents a return to the professional ranks after demonstrating the experience and determination required to succeed under pressure. Meanwhile, Gong Chenzhi produced an impressive run of results to earn his opportunity to compete on the sport’s biggest stage.
The achievement is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and commitment shown by all eight players throughout the season. With the 2026/28 World Snooker Tour now taking shape, each qualifier will be eager to make the most of their opportunity and establish themselves amongst the world’s best players.
Everyone at Pinnacle Sport would like to congratulate Liam Davies, Phil O’Kane, Sean O’Sullivan, Cheung Ka Wai, Andrew Higginson, Mitchell Mann, Stuart Carrington, and Gong Chenzhi on securing their World Snooker Tour cards and wish them every success in the seasons ahead.
